Let me begin by saying I loved Pitch Perfect and enjoyed Pitch Perfect 2 even more. I was expecting the final movie to blow me away, especially considering the excessive commercials and even the entertaining teasers.
Sad to report that it didn't live up to the hype. However, I was pleased to see that they would be "competing" in an international setting again (I just wish it were an a cappella competition.
) The plot opportunities across the countries they traveled to were endless, yet the subplot that the writers chose, revolving around Fat Amy's father, was a bit silly. Then again, these movies were not meant to be serious.
It was, in fact, hilarious. Overall, it wasn't the best movie in the trilogy but I recommend seeing it if you have seen the first two - it provides nice closure.
