Review of Pitch Perfect 3 (2017) by Dominik N — 24 Feb 2018
I loved the first two movies, but the 3rd found itself without Jessie, Benji, and Bumper. I realize they want all of the focus of the female characters in a female led movie, but it's not Pitch Perfect without the Treblemakers.
My girlfriend introduced me to the film series and she was severely disappointed with the 3rd film, and we both agreed the spy/action stuff with Fat Amy was ridiculous. The plot was.....there wasn't much of one.
Very thin. It's like they just cranked this one out in a hurry. Hats off to Anna Kendrick for not allowing Becca a romance without Jessie, because that's not Pitch Perfect.
