The overall direction isn't as delightful as audiences may misinterpret it to be, however, Pitch Perfect has a catchy acapella-centric soundtrack and charming cast of characters to make Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and company stand above and alone in a sea of generic musical-comedies; racial and sexual stereotyping aside.
