Despite the fluffy, often scatalogical storyline, Pitch Perfect is a surprisingly fun movie to watch thanks to its energy and terrific performances -- acting and vocal alike -- from its esteemed cast of young starlets, which helps to overcome its fluffed out musical tunes to deliver a rich, inspirational and ambitious journey into superstardom with a feminist spin.
