Pitch Perfect 2 comes back with another dose of over-the-top acapella, but its inferior to the previous film in almost every way. The acting is still fu, but the jokes seem to be more abundant, yet much more crude, insensitive, and racially charged.
Hailee Steinfeld is a welcome addition, but the german group DSM is cringe-worthy with their heavy accents singing exclusively american songs. Rebel Wilson is appallingly unlikeable this time around.
