Review of Pitch Black (2000) by Jason R — 27 Aug 2009
Pretty slick fantasy-horror movie with a similar feel to Aliens (though not as good). The movie starts out very stylized but loses some of its style when the sun sets. I'm not a Vin Diesel fan, but he does work in this movie.
The movie for the most part is smartly written and there are a few genuine surprises. It does fall into some cliches mostly in in the second half, but they are for the most part forgivable.
