Review of Pitch Black (2000) by Andrew S — 09 Dec 2009
The film is everything a sci-fi thriller seeker might be looking for. A cool lead character, action all the way, a strange planet, creatures in the dark and a good story line. For me, this film ticked all those boxes with the cool memorable character, Riddick played brilliantly by Mr. Diesel. I dont think this film would have had the same effect on me without him involved.
I was hooked from the powerful start, through to the learning of the characters and the problems they start to face, all the way to watching them try to survive but at the same time, escape from the planet.
The pace is well done, acting pretty decent, and the plot decent. All in all if you watch sci-fi or action films then id give this a go, you might like it. I did.
