Trying to pass off as a sci-fi film, 'Pitch Black' is nothing more than a sea of cliches behind a dark theatrical poster. David Twohy tries to make up for the faux plot with a horror-like thrill element throughout the entire film and doesn't get far with it.
The acting is non-inspired and uninteresting.
