What a mess.
I first saw it around 9 years ago. I loved it - it was dark and well-paced. I remembered shots from it clearly to this day.
Problem was, I hadn't seen enough good movies aged 14.
After seeing decent sci-fi movies, Pitch Black almost utterly fails. It has more holes in its plot than a slice of bread, the characters aren't interesting and bad acting just makes it worse.
Why 2 stars? 1 for Vin Diesel, and 1 for the cinematography.
Sorry, movie, you're just a clichà (C).
