Review of Pitch Black (2000) by Nick W — 10 Jul 2011
The word "strong" simply isn't enough to describe Diesel's performance as Richard B. Riddick. He was interesting and powerful, one of the better action performances I've seen in a long time.
Cole Hauser is excellent as Johns. Seeing he and Riddick exchange words, cold stares, and , eventually, blows is exhilirating. It puts an interesting twist on the average monster movie. The monsters cannot stand light and the movie takes place during a total solar eclipse.
Twohy creatively subjects you to the fear and doubt gripping the crew and passengers of the Hunter Gratzna. Excellent work by he and his crew.
