Review of Pitch Black (2000) by Bradley L — 02 Aug 2011

Pitch Black is a movie that got a mixed reception from the critics on its release, but one that has really grown to become a cult favorite among fans including myself. Sure, the storyline is pretty standard and at times predictable, but it's a really cool sci-fi that's nicely executed.

Vin Diesel in particular really stands out here as Riddick and pretty much steals the show. The movie is also nicely paced so there is never a moment where it's ever really boring. It's highly entertaining the entire time with nice thrills and suspense to back it up.

Definitely a great cult film and it's easy to see why.
