Review of Pitch Black (2000) by Harry W — 15 Jan 2013
Pitch Black can be credited as having great visual effects, a decent overall cast and the fact that it gave a good career boost to Vin Diesel who gave a good performance. All that aside, Pitch Black fell flat.
The lighting was incredibly strange and was more experimental than consistent with anything and there was a very unimpressive screenplay being used to helm the story.
There was also no background in the plot and the entire plot was incredibly thin.
The pacing was too slow for the genre and made it Uncreative and boring.
Worst of all, it lacked any substantial action or thrills to keep the viewer entertained and so it seems like I jet wasted my time with Pitch Black. I really wanted to like this, but that was too much to ask.
