Review of Pitch Black (2000) by Mark B — 11 Aug 2013
A ballsy, nervy and morally complex little thriller that makes wonderous virtues of small spaces and darkness. It has enough formula to create a varied and likable (although morally dubious) band of survivors, but it defies enough convention to make it a unique experience.
On top of that as well, it created an anti-hero icon of cinema; true sci-fi.
