"Pitch Black" is a not-bad, but also not-good, sci-fi thriller with a performance that reminds you why Vin Diesel became a star. He has a strong screen presence here. The film, while containing some well directed sequences, comes across as something that might have seemed "cool" 10 or 12 years ago, but now feels dated.
