Review of Pirate's Passage (2015) by Tim W — 22 Oct 2018
Sinister old fart who may or may not be possessed but is apparently immortal insinuates himself into an unwitting family and introduces the concept of serious crime as a way of addressing small town politics.
Kid being bullied? Threaten to kill the bully's dog. Fifteen minutes in and my 10 year old son reckoned the old guy had serious issues. So we obviously watched it right to the end, defying the urge to fall asleep to the soporific tones of Donald Sutherland.
A bit disjointed and predictable in terms of plot, but you'll not watch a more morally questionable kids film than this, I'll wager. Go for it.
