Wow this film is almost 12 years old. Pirates of the Caribbean is a film that no one thought would be good. The movie is a disney pirate film based off of a theme park ride staring Johnny Depp. Sounds awful right, well it wasn't.
Pirates of the Caribbean is still great. Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow has gone down in history as one of the biggest pop-culture characters of all time. He's very funny in this movie and he plays excellently of Orlando Bloom's Will Turner who is very good.
You know my respect has gone up forbOrlando Bloom since he punched Justin Beiber and in this movie I really like him. Keira Knightley is alright, of the main 4 she is the weakest but unlike in the two sequels I can stand her in this one.
Geoffrey Rush is fantastic as Captain Barbossa, you can tell he's having fun and he's a great villain. The action is great, the humour is great and it's heaps of fun. Unfortunately it's a bit to long which is nothing when compared to the sequels.
The soundtrack is also brilliant I first saw this movie when I was five and every time I heard this score I just wanted to jump on my bed and play pirates with my frineds it's that great. If you haven't seen this film first off that's incredible nearly everyone has seen this movie secondly check it out it's great fun.
