Great movie no doubt about that, but a. it isn't really a pirates of the Caribbean film (yes same characters, songs ect.) but it doesn't really have the same focus or point as a normal pirates film.
B. it isn't based on the book on stranger tides, the only common things are the zombies, blackbeard, pirates and the cleric (yes no mermaids :().
On that, it is still a good movie the mermaids r awesome, best part by far, the story is great and exciting.
The main gripe with this film aside from the misappropriated title is the zombies, in the book lots more focus on voodoo, but the zombies in this have 2 character models 2! and no real development aside from the fact that they can take a sword and are controlled by blackbeard.
This movie is still good though I need to reinforce this, the music is awesome, the story is quirky and cool, mermaids ftw also I think the spanish are funny :), but I think it just lacked development not much is explained as to why different things happen in the movie.
