Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011) by John C — 27 Mar 2013

I thought this film was a better sequel than 2 or 3 was to the original. It got back to a truthful (if not fully honest) Sparrow. Cruz was very good as the love interest. The plot was somewhat clever and engaging, if overly long.

All that being said, I hope this it for the franchise. I'm tired of these movies and the writers don't seem to understand the Sparrow character that was so brilliant in the first one.
