(2011) Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
ADVENTURE/ ACTION.
Fourth Pirates film which is not related to previous "Pirates..." films except for the return of 3 characters, besides Jack Sparrow and his right hand man, theirs also Geoffry Rush coming back as Barbosa. The plot about people competing for the "Fountain of Youth" only serves as a backdrop to the following things, a woman posing as Sparrow and fights as good as he does who also happens to be Blackbeard's daughter. A map where the Fountain of Youth is cited and the search for it's chalices. Besides the French fleet they're also human killing mermaids and adapted from a novel written by Tom Powers. There is so much going and so many things happening that the only way I can enjoy this is by watching it in segments since it looked like it could've been broken down into 5 different movies.
The ending is probably the best thing that has ever happened in this film since there were times I kept asking myself will this movie ever end.
2.5 out of 4.
