This gave me all the things I want in a Pirates film...fun, humor and great visuals. Except for a bit of a Jack Sparrow origin story, we didn't get anything new with that character. Salazar was a villain that fits well in this franchise, but I liked Barbossa and Davy Jones more.
This wasn't a spectacular addition, but it had what I wanted for the most part.
