Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tell No Tales has an interesting beginning, introducing new characters and revisiting old ones. The third act and climax was gorgeous and serves as a great wrap up to the series.
However the second act was a drag and the villain, although gave a great backstory, wasn't really necessary. Overall, the plot could've been a great character-driven movie without any real antagonist but the forced villain dragged the film and prevent it from being a good Pirates film.
