Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017) by Jack C — 13 Feb 2018
It's an awful movie. I loved every moment of it. This franchise has become the pirate version of the Fast and Furious that I can actually love... probably because people realise it's thrash. Franchises that are consistently bad movie after movie after movie usually have one quality that makes people come back to it.
FaF had mindless action and car chases, Fifty Shades has it's softcore porn, Transformers has... well, Transformers. Pirates of the Caribean has comedy. And it sire as hell works. I hated the last 30ish minutes when it was centered around the treasure and there wasn't as much humor.
Also the story is actuall thrash. If you like previous the installments to the franchise, you'll like this too. If you don't than don't bother.
