The pirates franchise really needs to end. This movie I thought was better the the fourth film but not as good as the original three. The plot felt very similar to some of the other movies. Barbossa felt very underused and I do wish the Will and Elizabeth were in it more. The idea of Henry Turner I thought was good but the character was very uninteresting. I did like carina though. This film was not as boring as the last and there were some good jokes. As for Jack Sparrow, he felt more over the top then in some of the earlier films when his character was a little more grounded. The best part of the film was Javier Bardem as the villain. I really enjoyed him. Overall Pirates five has some fun to it and is watchable but still not great.
