Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017) by Joss R — 09 Jun 2017
The fifth instalment tries to add new depth and introduce new characters, but ultimately ends up being an overstuffed bombardment of action sequences in between bits of story telling. As always Depp is as watchable as ever, but I couldn't help but feel that Captain Jack has sailed his course; a welcomed happy ending, concluding a muddled sequence of films.
The Black Pearl will always be the best.
