Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017) by Jamiebee — 05 Jun 2017

I feel like this movie could have been great, but the directors just slapped something together. It has its moments, but there is an uneven plot throughout. Jack is drunk for half of it, which has never been his character type before, worst of all it wasnt even funny, it was just annoying.

The lead up to the big finale is rushed, its almost as if the film makers were rushing it towards the end. Javier Bardems performance is the films saving grace, he brings a fresh face to the film, and a eerily creepy character.

Overall this film is disappointing, but with some high points. If you're a fan of the franchise by all means go and see it, but go with an open mind, and the knowledge that you will almost certainly be disappointed.
