The fifth instalment of the swashbuckling franchise has its moments, but nothing more. Dead Men Tell No Tales, in a good way on many occasions, is more of a conglomeration of nostalgia infused scenes than a fully fledged movie.
Whilst it is great to have the original characters back and on form, the new additions drag the film back from start to finish. The magic of the series has truly faded.
