This was the first one I've seen in the series; I thought it was silly but lots of fun. The special effects were great and the acting entertaining. The bad guys were very scary and Johnny Depp very funny.
My family had seen others in the series; they enjoyed the references to previous films. An amusing diversion worth seeing on a big screen. I am beginning to hate some movies critics love and like some they hate, so I don't trust them much anymore.
Don't understand why critics dislike it so much. "The critics" are definitely out of touch as far as my preferences go.
