Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017) by Edelson L — 30 May 2017

Let me just start this review on a positive note. The visuals are stunning. Hands down to the cgi team because the world building is superb. Go see the movie if you're really into the great cinematography otherwise don't.

Unfortunately, it did not scream Pirates of the Caribbean for me. The punch lines were weak and Jack Sparrow was unfortunately just a drunk ol' dude wandering around behind the young couple again.

Oh and don't see this movie if you're excited to see Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom because what you saw in the trailers is what you get. Also Javier Bardem's screen time was mostly entirely shown in the trailers already so meh.

First thirds of this movie was superb and it just goes downhill from there.
