Why do I not like this movie as much as I want to like this movie? Let me count the ways. Because it's loaded down with subtle feminist messages and that just ruins a good swashbuckling pirate movie.
Because even when I'm willing to suspend disbelief, I can only suspend it just so far, and there's no way that small number of horses could have pulled that entire structure...also, why is Captain Jack Sparrow afraid of death? I thought he was undead and under a curse or something? I can't keep track.
All in all, a middlin' effort.
