Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017) by Mohammad Y — 28 Jun 2017

Definitely an improvement from its predecessor, but still lacks the most important factor in the pirates franchise: The Jack Sparrow we know. The new characters, however, are a great addition and they are what saves this movie.

Unfortunately the villain was not up to expectation; he was given a great motive and was made powerful, only to be wasted in such a useless way. The movie also suffers from a rushed final act, and a really slow first act which make you feel like something is missing.
