It's a fan service movie. So pirates fans will be happy but just casual movie goers may not like it. As a fan from the beginning I thought it was on par with the second one. It was never going to be as magical as the original but it may be as close as we can get.
I enjoyed it as it made up for the 4th one. If nothing else, it is at least entertaining.
