Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is surprisingly just as good as its predecessor, if not better because it explores new grounds with its pirate themes and gets to one about battling the sea itself and the monster that lives beneath, the kraken. It also explores a darker territory and makes use of its talented cast and high budget just as much as the original, and the adventure tone is never left behind.

First of all, from a technical standpoint Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is astounding having been shot on beautiful locations with great cinematography, skilled film editing and an astounding synthesised musical score which features unforgettable musical numbers.

The adventure tone is constantly in motion thanks to the technical work on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest which constantly keeps the audience seeing everything from an ideal perspective, and the incredible visual effects are convincing that the audience actually does fear the kraken, among other things.

Overall suffice to say that the direction of Gore Verbinski was very helpful in bringing Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest to life with the same charisma and charm as its predecessor.

Pretty much all of the cast is talented, but the ones that stick out are the ones ill emphasise.

Johnny Depp makes a fine lead, and it's fascinating because he gave a performance that wasn't as surprising as the last time since then it was new and eccentric, but this time it's just as entertaining because he brings Captain Jack Sparrow to life all over again and achieves the perfect level if comedic charm, one stronger than expected. He is always great, and here he is especially entertaining all over again.

Orlando Bloom makes a charismatic dramatic lead as well as Will Turner and directs the story well with his character. His character is as majestic as ever and puts up a good fight.

Keira Knightley also resumes her role or playing the attractive swashbuckler Elizabeth Swan and captures the beauty and grace of her character sufficiently again and makes her a treat for the eyes.

Lastly, I found that Mackenzie Crook and Lee Arenberg made a good comedic duo with their brief screen time, especially because I've followed them since their early days on The Office and Seinfeld, and seeing them comedically teamed up always gives me a laugh.

So I very much enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Choice practically just as much as the original and it's ventures into monster tides is a thing of interest, so I'm eager for its sequel.
