Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006) by Nickolas I — 06 Aug 2013
There are few times when sequels excel their originals, but this manages to (just). It may be overly long and in some parts confusing but in the end this movie brings heart, originally and humor into the pirate world in the same way that The Mummy series brought enjoyability back in the adventure movie.
Some great visual scenes. The only downside is it's inevitably setting up by the end for the third movie, in a way that means it cannot stand alone as it should do.
