Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006) by Ashley M — 06 Oct 2013
Fairly entertaining, but bloated sequel that tries to dazzle far more than it tries to create a fluid story. The action is non-stop and after a while becomes unbearably repetitive, but the special effects are first-rate and the Kraken scenes are awesome! The cast still does the job well enough, but the spark from the first is sorely missing.
I loved the addition of Davy Jones as a villain, but the film drags far too much and is noticeably more slap-stick.
