Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) by Aditya M — 24 Nov 2013
The movie is really about Davy Jones feeling inadequate about the Flying Dutchman being bequeathed by fate to Jack Sparrow, when Jack is a mere sparrow, and Davy is a magnificent Macaw-Pelican, having visited the West Indies before Columbus.
Also, Davy feels he is the first man woman or child in the Caribbean, and his paradise is lost. He cannot battle like the noble ogre 'Shrek' for some unfathomable reason.
