Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) by P M — 17 Apr 2014
Rewatched POTC #1 on Blu-Ray, followed by #2 (for the first time) and finally #3 (for the 1st time). Lots of complaints from critics, etc. about #2's plot being simple and #3's being convoluted.
For me, seeing the three films back-to back-to back, it was very coherent and entertaining. #3 carries on the swashbuckling tale. This time, the special effects are even more spectacular. This is a very high quality production and even thought there was a lot going on, I found the story lines came together nicely by the end.
..tho it ended clearly showing another sequel in mind. I thought this was the best of the bunch.
