Review of Piranha 3DD (2012) by Dan B — 30 Jul 2012

Going into this I was expecting something almost like the first but this one wasn't AS good but it still has it's strong points. The opening scene was pretty cool too, probably better than the first.

It dragged a bit in the beginning and threw some good deaths at you but not as crazy or gory as the first. The ending when the big hit happens could have been longer and done better, just like the first with it's fantastic gory scene.

This doesn't live up to the first but it was a decent sequel. I liked it but expected a bit more. You really can't go into this expecting great acting, or even great writing, the acting was horrible and this has some pretty bad lines but I expected that.

I have to say though this movie had one of the best deaths I have ever seen. It's a death that you can't believe happens and you laugh your ass off just at how awesome it was. It was a death scene that really saved the movie for me and everyone else that was watching.

The ending was fantastic too, it seriously made the movie good and it was a better ending than the first. If it wasn't for a few scenes this would have just been garbage but thanks to that I like it.
