Piranhas, over the top violence, breasts EVERYWHERE, and Christopher Lloyd in a movie in 3D? Sign me up. Piranha 3D is a fun bloody, brutal, sexplotaited time at the movies. I had so much fun watching this because it did everything right.
It knows how silly and stupid it is so it exploits it in every way possible. There's a scene with two fully naked girls swimming underwater for about two minutes, guess they forgot to breathe! A film like this, story sits in the back while the fun gets to sit in the front.
The story is basically just piranhas attack people during Spring Break and the police fighting back. That story is almost as brilliant and mind boggling as something like Taxi Driver or A Clockwork Orange.
The movie is over the top in all of its ways. The violence in the way that it's rapid Piranhas swimming fast and ripping through your flesh like it's wet paper. The sex being that just breasts everywhere, girls kissing and motorboating, a Joe Dante like character who made me laugh so hard, it was a delight seeing him on the screen.
The piranhas steal the show, whenever you see them on screen, you know that the shit is going down. The film is quite short which is unfortunate because when it was over, I was sad and wish there was more.
As for the 3D, it's the best film that was converted to 3D. Only few of it didn't work but the rest of the did, and also theres nothing wrong with 3D breasts :). This isn't in theaters anymore but if it was, I'd highly recommend it if you are looking for a fun time, this is the perfect movie.
