This film, all in all, in every regard: fails. I was unaware until recently that this film was n fact a remake as well, which is unfortunate because I always like to watch the original first. The characters are annoying, so needless to say you don't feel sympathy for them as they are killed off.
The suspense is dull and unexhilarating, and the gore is mediocre. This film provided me with hardly any satisfaction of any sort, and that's just the truth of the matter. I don't recommend it.
