Review of Pinocchio (1940) by John E — 28 Sep 2009
A surprisingly emotionally complex movie from Disney. Ebullient, innocent, humorous, disturbing, unsettling, and powerful. This film teaches an important lesson with some memorable music and laughs along the way.
The animation is beautiful, fully realized, and vibrant. All of the high-quality ingredients for a great Disney film are here, and this is one of the prime examples of Disney's vision.
