THE GOOD.

- Technically brilliant: animation, style, voice work, music and pacing are top notched.

- Pushes the G-Rated envelope: I never expected to see kids smoke or hear the word "jackass" in a Disney cartoon!

- Unlike Arthur in the Sword in the Stone, I liked how Pinocchio really does grow and learn in the movie.

- Gepetto is one of the most likable characters in Disney history, and steals the spotlight.

THE BAD.

- I didn't really connect emotionally. Maybe because I expected too much, or being that I was watching this for the first time as an adult, "When You Wish Upon a Star" had lost its meaning after hearing it the umpteenth time.

- I'm not a fan of Fairy God Mothers, and didn't care for the Blue Fairy's deus ex-style rescues. Let Pinocchio and Jiminy figure out the solution themselves! XD.

- A few "That Can't Happen Even If This Is a Cartoon!" moments.

- The ending seemed to be missing . . something.

THE INTERESTING.

- Who knew that Jiminy was such a playa? He was eyeing everything from marionettes to the Blue Fairy!
