Review of Pinocchio (1940) by Kev S — 27 Jan 2010
The best Disney film of all time.
Well, we've come to the end of "Disney Month". But that's OK. I've saved the best Disney film for last! And that very Disney film is "Pinocchio", the second Disney animated film after the success of "Snow White".
I have always seen "Pinocchio" as the greatest Disney animated film ever made, and I still do to this day. It's also one of the first Disney films I've ever watched.
This film is about a puppet named Pinocchio who is suddenly brought to life with the magic of the Blue Fairy. With the help of his conscience, Jiminy Cricket, he must prove to be truthful, brave, and unselfish to become a real boy.
I think the main reason why I like this film is because of Jiminy Cricket. In my opinion, he's the most badass Disney character that Walt Disney has ever created, aside from Baloo of course. It also has the catchiest songs any Disney composer has ever written. "When You Wish Upon a Star", "Give a Little Whistle", "I've Got No Strings", the works.
It's sad that kids today prefer garbage like High School Musical and Hannah Montana over good animated films like "Pinocchio". It is the pinnacle of Disney history! It's the greatest Disney film ever. Well, that's it for Disney Month, but don't worry, there's more of Disney Month tomorrow. April Fools! (LOL, early April Fools joke FTW) But seriously, this film is great.
Final Score: 100/100 (Awesome).
