Pinocchio is one of Disney's earliest masterpieces. The animation, despite its age, is so beautiful, alive, and creatively drawn. In particular, the whale is one of the scariest animals ever on screen.

The story is absolutely frightening from two points of view. First, it frightens children, stating that if they lie, their nose will grow big; if they behave poorly, they will be severly punished; if they fall for every temptation for which they see, they will hang around the wrong people; and if they do not say "no" once in a while, there lives will be permantly ruined or they will at least turn into a donkey.

Second, it will frighten parents because it penetrates their biggest fear: when their child goes missing. It is indeed a scary film to say the least, and it may be fiction, but it is truly beautiful!
