Review of Pinocchio (1940) by Chris F — 20 Jul 2013
Disney's 2nd Animated Feature is an improvement over its first one. They decided to tell a very dark but heartwarming tale. Pinocchio is a unique experience and should be viewed by slightly older children as it has some scary visuals that may frighten younger audiences.
It also has a more mature story of having to decide right from wrong and living with the consequences if your decisions. Geppetto and Pinocchio are well developed and you feel for them during their struggles.
The film also has some memorable sequences with my favorite being the Monstro escape. This is definitely one of my all time favorite Disney films.
