Review of Pinocchio (1940) by Trevor W — 11 Jun 2015
An early animated film with a delicate screenplay seen very little nowadays--Disney and otherwise. In addition to the plethora of storytelling mechanics, the animation is very detail-oriented and nothing short of impressive.
The film explores adult themes appropriately to teach a valuable lesson to children as well as adults. Walt Disney perfected meshing magic and realism without venturing too far into either.
