Review of Pinocchio (1940) by Trevor R — 07 Jun 2011
Wonderfully charming and at times pretty terrifying, Pinocchio tells the story of how a normal marionette comes alive and his journey to become a real boy. I am just in love with this movie. I watched this one about as much as I did Bambi and Peter Pan.
Pleasure Island and Monstro still give me chills. Old school Disney movies sure don't pull any punches in the scary factor. In the end, though, this film is about doing the right thing and the rewards that come with it.
