Review of Pink Floyd: The Wall (1982) by Fascade F — 24 Jan 2009
[musical] the setting is post WWII britain. young Pink loses his father in the war and lives an alienating life with his overly protective mother. as he grows into a young musician he builds a mental wall around him thereby isolating himself from society.
in the end he "tears down the wall" and turns into a dictator which is ironic because that is what killed his father and set out the course of his entire life in the first place, you know with hitler and the nazi party.
really there are many ways to interpert the wall and everyone forms their own and that's what is so fascinating about this movie.
