Review of Pink Floyd: The Wall (1982) by Charles B — 02 Mar 2010
This film introduced me to the geniuses that is the band Pink Floyd. Yes, many agree that it's a 90-minute music video to the entire album, but the visual surrealism and hypnotic music (from the album The Wall) make for one nerve-wracking masterpiece.
The ads for this film (the illustrated artwork of Pink screaming) simultaneously haunted me and drew me in as a 5-year-old, but I didn't get to see this film for another 14 years, and since then, I've been a fan of not just this film, but Pink Floyd's entire catalog.
