Review of Pink Floyd: The Wall (1982) by Marija H — 11 Nov 2010
A very engaging and hypnotic piece of surrealism depicting the epic Pink Floyd album "The Wall" in a visual form. Blending the live action story of a miserable rock musician, Pink (a mostly silent but effective Bob Gedolf) with disturbing but almost always interesting hand drawn animation, this might be one of the most daring and bizarre takes on the movie musical ever conceived, and many years later I don't know if there's another film thats tried to accomplish what this film did.
It is certainly not a film for everyone, but for those who appreciate Floyds music and penchant for the unorthodox will likely admire that same eccentric perception that is consistent in this film.
