Review of Pink Floyd: The Wall (1982) by Greg W — 04 Jun 2015
I don't know why it took me so long to see this masterpiece. the wall is one of the most influential psychadelic rock albums of all time, if not THE best. this is literally a complete visual portrayal of the entire album, and while it is incredibly bizarre in some parts, such as the cartoon parts and "pink's" explorations and happenings.
bob geldof was spectacular as pink and drives this movie completely on his own with the music giving him wings. also, if you're a fan of pink floyd, you will know when the next song is coming, and you'll have a great time singing along to all the "another brick in the wall" parts, "goodbye blue sky", "comfortably numb", and my favorite "run like hell".
I actually prefer this to dark side of the moon, because it doesn't have an official movie unless you count parts of wizard of oz to watch it to. all in all, this is one of the best music films of all time, and will be enjoyed by any music fan.
(try watching while stoned or drunk, i'm sure it will enhance your experience).
